MEDIA KIT

Company Story

After some treacherous hiking on an adventure vacation, founder Lenore Vassil and her friends posed a simple question to each other: “Does anyone know how to navigate your life in an emergency?” The unanimous response was “no.”

Soon after this conversation, Lenore’s father became ill, causing her family to scramble to keep the household running while he recovered. Troubled by this, Lenore looked for an easy way to organize and share simple, yet essential, information with her family. She could not find a solution she liked, so she decided to create The Torch.

We share so much today on social media, but never the important things. Your loved ones know what you ate for lunch yesterday, but do they know the name of your doctor? At The Torch, we’re passionate about inspiring people everywhere to share instructions on how to navigate their life so that if they experience an unexpected accident or illness, they have a well-informed support network of loved ones and advisors who can help them.

Product Description

The Torch is an online emergency information organizer. We give you a checklist of the five most essential things your loved ones should know about you, but probably don’t. You fill it out and then invite two people who might need to navigate your life in an emergency to view your instructions. You don’t enter any confidential information like account numbers, passwords or documents. Instead you include the names of important people and locations of vital documents.

It’s so simple, you can pass your Torch in five minutes and it’s free. Our premium version, The Torch Pro, lets you add more information for yourself, children, pets, real estate, investments, and vehicles into online notebooks. Most people are finished in one hour and sleep well knowing their loved ones are not in the dark.
